Who We Are

FoundTheDrop ("we", "us", "our") operates foundthedrop.com (the "Site"). We are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us any time at [email protected].

What We Collect

Your email address, but only if you give it to us. If you sign up for deal alerts, we store the email address you enter and the date you subscribed. We use it for one thing: sending you deal emails. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with advertisers or data brokers.

Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Site is used. It collects pages viewed, time on page, referring site, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser type, and it sets cookies to recognise returning visits. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we have not enabled Google Signals or advertising personalisation.

Local storage on your device. When you flag a deal as expired, the deal ID is saved in your browser's localStorage so we do not ask you twice. It stays on your device.

What we never collect: we have no accounts or logins, we never ask for your name, address or phone number, and we never see or handle payment details. Purchases happen entirely on the retailer's own site.

Who We Share It With

We use a small number of service providers to run the Site. They process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes:

Resend stores our mailing list and delivers our emails. Google Analytics processes Site usage data. Cloudflare hosts and serves the Site. n8n, self-hosted by us, passes your signup from the form to Resend.

Some of these providers are based in, or transfer data to, the United States. Beyond these providers, we do not share your information with anyone, and we never sell it.

Email: What to Expect and How to Stop It

If you subscribe, you will receive deal emails, typically daily, including a weekly roundup. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. You can also email [email protected] and we will remove you. We keep your address until you unsubscribe, then delete it from our active list.

Our postal address, included in every commercial email as US law requires, is available on request at [email protected].

Cookies and Tracking

The Site sets Google Analytics cookies to measure traffic. It sets no advertising or retargeting cookies and runs no ad pixels. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, and the Site will still work normally.

Affiliate links are a separate matter. When you click through to a retailer, that retailer may set its own cookie to attribute the visit to us. That cookie is set by them, on their site, under their privacy policy.

Your Rights

If you are in the EU or UK: you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our lawful basis is your consent for email, and legitimate interest for analytics. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are in California: under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is no "Do Not Sell or Share" mechanism to offer. We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. Because we hold so little data, the fastest route is usually the unsubscribe link.

Deals, Prices and Coupons

Prices and availability are verified when a deal is posted and re-checked daily, but retailers change prices without notice. Always confirm the price at checkout before buying.

Coupon codes are published for information only. We cannot guarantee any code will still work, and codes are frequently reissued or withdrawn by the retailer.

We choose deals on merit. Our editorial judgment is not for sale and is not influenced by commission rates.

Third-Party Sites

The Site links out to retailers including Amazon, Walmart and Target. Once you follow a link you are on their site, under their privacy policy and terms. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, their practices.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their email address, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and Retention

The Site is served over HTTPS. Email addresses are held by Resend under their security controls. We keep subscriber emails until you unsubscribe and analytics data for the retention period configured in Google Analytics. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will say so in an email to subscribers.
